I posted my first Mario Badescu review in the warmer months. I had to switch things up when the temperature dropped. With colder air came the need for extra moisture. BTW I have combination/sensitive skin.

The Good: This stuff is incredibly gentle! The formula is thick and creamy so it will not dry out your skin. There are no sulfates in it so again this is not harsh on your skin. One thing that I really love about the products from this company is that they are cruelty-free.  Lastly, it provides the gentlest exfoliation. Don’t be fooled by the texture, this does a great job at cleaning your skin. When I wipe a pad with toner after washing, I very rarely see anything left behind. The stuff typically picked up is leftover waterproof eye makeup (eg: leftover mascara that loosens up while washing your face with warm water).

The Bad: The smell… it can be very off-putting, think dead sea. I suspect the seaweed is the culprit for said smell.

Price/Value: 8oz $15.00/ 16 oz $26.00: A little bit goes a long way with this one so one bottle will last you for months with everyday use.  I find both options to be an incredible value for the quality of this product.

Overall: I am on my second bottle of this stuff. I was taken aback by the fragrance with the first bottle but knew what to expect going into it this time around. I would highly recommend going to a store that carries this line to smell this one before you buy it. It is hard to look past the smell especially considering your nose is right in the middle of your face, and let’s be real, do you really want to hold your breath while washing your face? If you can get past the smell then you will be rewarded with clean skin that is soft to the touch, always hydrated, never dry.
